Nea Styra

This is the closest small town to the Flower House. It is 10 - 15 minutes by car from the Flower House.

 
Nea Styra is a seaside village that bustles in the Summer and sleeps away the winter. The centre is dominated by the large ferry boats that sail frequently between here and the mainland. There are many tavernas, coffee shops and bars along the front where one can while away the hours. 
The beach is narrow along most of the front but a short walk in either direction brings you to wider beaches. Originally the fishing harbour of the hillside village of Styra, little of the old village remains apart from occasional glimpses of old houses between the new apartments.
