The Nea Styra ferry departs from Aghia Marina. This is a very relaxing trip. There is a bar on board which also serves toasted rolls. It takes 45 minutes to cross a sheltered channel with both sides visible and interesting islands on the way.
In summer there are 10 ferries a day starting at 5.45am and returning after 10.00pm.

For a medium sized car it costs  €20.00 and €3.50 per person

From Athens a hire car or pre-arrenged (please ask me as the airport taxis can be a real rip-off)taxi will take you to the ferry port of Aghia Marina which is about 35 km and takes an hour. (We use Morphis for out car hire, mention our name for the best rate.) If you are hiring a car from another company please make sure they will cover the island many do not allow you to leave the mainland.

From UK BA provide an excellent service from Heathrow to Athens and early booking ensures a reasonable price or collect Air Miles
